Wet/Dry vs Mud Sump vs Hang-on filter

Which is needed for 55 gal reef tank with 55 lbs of live rock? Wet/dry or an Mud sump or will a large Emperor 400 hang-on filter (i have now) work just fine??? Anyone?

i would go with the mudd sump, thats what im putting on my 55gal reef anyways. and i also have the emperor 400 right now and i hate the thing.

I'd say go with a sump and fuge and skip the mud...but that's just me...

I used to have the emp 400 on my 55g and it wasn't enough. If you have the room go for the sump/fuge.
