I just purchased a wet/dry system for my 55 gallon tank.It is capable of handling a 125 gallon tank .IT also has a pre filter. I have just fish,live rock and crushed coral for the gravel in my tank.But i plan on getting corals when i get the proper lighting. I know the W/D is really good on biological part.IM just wondering is there something i can add to this to make this system better? Like mechanical or is the W/D enough? OOPS i almost forgot i have two powerheads keeping the curculation going.

Skimmers are highly recommended for SW.

I agree with b_ball a saltwater tank really needs a skimmer. No tank that big should be without one. Also b_ball he said the size of the tank in his post. By adding a skimmer this also puts less stress on your wet/dry filter. Hope this helps.

My bad at missing the 55 gallon. The 125 gallon had my attention because of the large size.
