Was going to buy a brand new 75G, but fellow co-worker has offered to sell a 110X tank to me for $25! Only a couple years old and doesn't leak (will test first :) ) However, the tank is an odd shape. It has the same dimesions of a 75G only about 10 inches taller. Will a regular 75G stand old this, it is about 300 pounds of more pressure, also can I actually keep more fish this shape even though the surface area is not that much different(want to have an aggressive set-up)? Anybody else have a tank this shape?

If the tank is well airated, with alot of surface aggitation,You should be able to keep a few more than in the 75...But the tank itself will tell you for sure.Add the fish slowly,,,and watch the water readings closly.I wouldn't push it untill the setup is at least six months old though...As for the stand,I wouldn't trust it.Especially if you are talking about an iron stand. They are really pretty cheaply made in the first place. But if your talking about a wood cabinet, make sure there are at least three 2x4's supporting the weight across the front and back...
