What a Pod

I hear about them but am not really sure what they are.
Any one know what they are and what they look like?
And can you buy them or you have to have them come in on your live rock?

A pod is a Copepod or Amphipod. They are small (1/4") critters that run all over the tank. They feed on phytoplankton (i believe) and other fish feed on them. They live in LR and reproduce like crazy. This thread shows some pictures. https://www.saltwaterfish.com/vb/showthread.php?t=174194
