What algae is this, and how to get rid of it!

I have this algae that has recently showed up. Can anyone identify it and let me know possible ways to remove or deal with it.

Looks like hair algae. Pull it out and then figure out what's contributing to your nitrates and phosphates. I think just about everyone has had this at one time or another and some of us still fight with it on occasion. I still have some, but it's not bad and keeps my nitrate levels at zero.

x2, but to appears to be dying.

I added two new fish. I noticed it after that... and I wonder if I was over feeding. One fish was not eating, so I was feeding more than normal. So I have cut back on it, so lets hope its dying. I will pull it off during my water change tomorrow and hope for the best then.

Decrease your feedings, make sure your protein skimmer is working really well like it should. Maybe you could even decrease your lighting schedule a bit during all of this.
You should be fine. I have one 55 gallon tank right now that I am battling cyano and hair algae and flat worms and a whole slew of other organisms. (client that just hired me.)
