what are pods?

i just been in this for about 3 months and i've been reading all thses threads and i don't know what you mean by pods. do you purchase these or do they come from live rock.do you grow them in a refuge, what if you don't have a fuge then what. please explain. thanks

Pods are these little transpant things, looks like baby shrimp or something like that, if you have live rock and your tank for a while, you can actually go up to the tank and see these things. they are suppose to be beneficial for your tank.
