I know blue German digi is pretty easy to keep.. as it doesnt necessarily need MH ...
What are other easy SPS corals? I want to put some sps in my softy/lps dominated tank... but dont want MH.. i have T5s...

just about any montipora capricornis or digita are fairly forgiving SPS in the category of lighting.

I agree. Most any of the montiporas are pretty tough and less light demanding. I would also add that many of the aquacultured SPS corals are much tougher and less demanding than wild caught specimens.

what about placement? like infront of a powerhead... the most waterflow one can provide?

ORA corals are fairly strong and healthy type corals.
But yes Monti's are probably your best bet for starters. And pocillipora's are fairly strong also.

For placement and flow, medium to high in the tank, with a ton of indirect flow. I.e. Dont aim a powerhead right at it, theyre used to waves breaking and such in the wild.

any digitata would be o.k. that was my first sps,, I have frags of it all over my tank including in the sand bed and they are still growing like weeds... (very slow growing weeds)

lighting is important, obviously, but water quality and flow are equally important. I have several different SPS in my tank over 660 watts VHO and all have done extremely well. None have lost their coloration and all grow, albeit at different rates. I currently have several acros, montipora cap. and pavona.
