What are the chances?

My heart is set on a Porcupine Puffer, but I really want a reef. What are the chances that I can keep both? Has anyone been able to ween a porcupine to not eat fellow tankmates?
I'm looking to go community but I really want a Porcupine. :(

Porcupines, and other puffers in the Diodontidae family, are probably the most reef safe of the large puffers. Granted, when I say reef, I only mean corals. Their mouths(teeths) are a bit different from Arothron puffers, so they don't 'chew' on the live rock per say.
That said, any large puffer will probably go after all inverts. Small fish are a definite risk with a Porky too. What do you mean by "tankmates"? Lastly, I hope you realize the size these guys can and will reach, and the massive bioload they will put on a tank. A 55gal will not cut it for a Porky.

they are very messy fish, so to have a true reef with lps and sps you are going to need a GREAT skimmer, mechanical and biological filtration...

I guess I'll just wait until I can get a super huge tank in a few years down the line for the puffer. Anything i'm not too sure of I dont want to risk having any problems.
