What are the odds?

I just put a bbbaaaaby Percula in my tank a few days ago. He's ~ 1.25cm long, just developing his 2nd stripe. He eats like a pig despite my Angel having harrased him for the 1st day he was in the tank. (They're ok now.)
I don't have the lighting for an Anemone. Any speculation as to whether or not he'll host my Duncan coral?

It's possible but.....he would be way way more likely to host a torch, frogspawn or even elegance........they are more like an anemone which is prolly why....

I hear ya. Who knows why any of our critters do what they do? I can't figure my mammals out, let alone these guys.

That said, I got a nice piece of what LFS is calling Octopus coral today. Really similar to hammer/frogspawn so we'll see what happens.
Now clownie has some choices - so watch - he'll end up digging a hole and hosting that...
Thanks for the input guys!

That's awesome! I always thought Armor of God corals had the dumbest name...I mean I've seen dumber...like Inverted Gorilla Nipples. But still, why would God need armor?

its so annoying, i bought all those things so they could at least host one. but no luck.

ive had better luck with tomato's and maroon clowns hosting then perculas.

uneverno, I have a teeny tiny onyx perc. It is so small I cannot even get a good photo, maybe an inch long, if even. If you have an overflo cover it, mine got sucked or swam through. Found it in time but I now covered it with plastic mesh. I also have to keep it well covered. It spends most of it's time near the top right corrner and is a real jumper. I have a scwd and the output had a concentration nozzle with a thin slit, the goofy fish swam into it and got stuck and the heavy flow didn't dislodge it. I had to pull it out. That was 2 weeks ago and all is well now. (removed the tip, it can't get stuck in the big open hole) I keep wodering what else the little guy can get into.
Gotta keep the babies safe at all cost.
Oh and it took to my rbta pretty quick, never tried corals with percs, this is my only one. My ocellaris have hosted palays, hairy muchrooms and leathers. HTH

Hey lmecher,
thanks for the tip. I don't have an overflow, or anything he could get stuck in, but he is a jumper. When i first got him, I opened up the bag to start acclimating him and he jumped out... Scared the crap outta me.
