What can I do w/a basic 33 gal

I got a 33 gallon hex tank a few years ago with the thought of freshwater fish only. Now I have a salt tank that is very basic. Inside the tank is 2 inches of sand, powerhead, heater, second nature 3000 wet/dry filter, basic 20 watt lighting, some rock, 2 fish and a crab.
I don't just want a fish only tank, so what do you think I can do with this setup. I want to get the best out of it that I can.
How would you improve. Thanks for your comments.

improve on the lighting. there can never be enough lighting.. so you can have a cool reef.

add more sand and get as much rock as u can
also a skimmer if possible

i would reccomend a prizim protein skimmer and as for lighting it depends on what type of corals that u wish to keep
