the only thing my clown will eat is brine shrimp,and garlic, any idea what else I can feed him?

live brine or frozen? if it's eating frozen brine, it will probably eat frozen mysis (much better diet). how long have you had the fish? clowns usually aren't picky.

it's freeze dried brine, I've had the clown for 2 weeks, he's sick at the moment and only wants to eat soft, easy to chew/swallow stuff.

If he is sick, that is the biggest problem. Once he is healthy he will eat anything.
Now, you need to feed him something a little more healthy to help him get better. Try some frozen mysis, thawed of course. And something like some omega one flake with garlic. He will need a balanced diet with both meaty foods and veggies, to help him get better.

How is everything going? Any luck with the health of your clown?
Once all that stuff is sorted out you can try cyclopeeze to add a little variety and balance to their diet...everything in my tank (including my mater pair of clowns) go crazy over that stuff!
