I have flat, pale green algea growing on the rear glass of my tank and it is starting to turn pink in spots. Does coraline start out green and turn pink? It looks like this is what is happening.

I have intense lighting. The lime green tends to be in the shaded areas. The pinks usually grow first, and then purple with white edges grows over the pink. I have trouble growing coraline algae because the intensity of the light.

Ok, so light intensity will promote different types of coraline, does the light spectrum make much of a difference?
