With MH lighting your options are greater. I can only have soft corals with medium lighting (lots of mushrooms, which spread like plants!) Don't get any flowerpots, because I've read everywhere that they only live in captivity about 6 months in a high quality tank (and they can sting!) Leathers are easy. I also have a carribean pink (looks like thick pink hair) that covers rocks...very beautiful when in a current. Keep in mind that once you start keeping corals, you can't have certain fish anymore (duh).
Can't help much with hard corals...but I'm sure you'll get more posts about those..
