What could be causing this?

I have been have a bubble problem like crazy. I dont have a skimmer yet. and I have try 2 koralia #4s, 2 koralia #3s, 2 maxijet 1200s. and none of this has worked. what the heck is making these bubbles????
edit: more info. I started it with 55 lbs of LR and 45 lbs of dry carib sea sand.

Well unless your powerheads are near the surface and are pulling in air from the surface, it's coming from something else. What other filtration do you have? Pics?

the powerheads are def not pulling air in. and no other filters. just LR LS heater and powerheads. and ill try and get a pic soon

Uhhh... I'm stumped. I see algae form bubbles all the time, but if it's on the glass, etc on areas that do not have visible algae growth, then I don't know what to tell you.

I used a new salt for this tank. its red sea coral pro. could that be it? and my ph is 8.6 if that has anything to do with it

O and I never had this problem when I had a sump. but I dont have one on this tank so maybe it could be cause there is nothing to stop the bubble maybe?

Is the return pump pulling in any bubbles? The smallest bubbles can be chopped up into thousands thru a pump.

Oohhhh, I misread. What is your source of filtration? The fan is not likely to cause a problem.
I am going to be getting a bermuda rogue skimmer. but they have sent me two broken ones

Could it be that your lighting is too powerful to be that close to the surface? I remember reading someone having a similar problem and as soon as he turned of his day lights, the bubbles disappeared.

nah i was thinking of that but they are like this all night
