What could it be??

I tried getting a pic but the camera wouldn't focus on this so here is a quick description.
Its attached to my live rock and its about the size and shape of a large pearl. Its silvery grey in color. Its about a 1/4 in diameter.
Its been there for a few days and i have no clue as to where it came from.
Also I have a few critters living in my canister filter that I use to add carbon and flow for my u/v. They are kinda whitish grey in color....very small and hard to see but they leave big turds that attach to everything. The turds are long and about as thick as a pencil line and get hard and look like white plastic and you have to chip to get them off.
On the good side my canister was really clean for once. I have something similar living in my hang on fuge but they look light green in color (could be from the macro algae and the light filtering through it)
Any guesses would be wonderful

the pearl thing sounds like bubble algae

The little boogers in your cannister are most likely just pods.

they most likely arent making the 'poop' but there are little critters that make hard tubes that are usually a worm like a featherduster... and you have to scrape it off the sides.

Dont know if this is helpful or not but its hard to help without pics :p

Is it on the underside of the rock? Does it look kinda like this...

Yeah that is what it looks like tizzo....its actually on the side of a rock in a nook but is getting bigger.... its got a hard surface to it. If you get the right angle on it ...it almost looks like you can see through it.
Its really weird looking.

Well, my guess was gonna be an air bubble til you said it had a hard surface...
Just for fun, to make sure your not touching what's behind it, try to shoot it with a turkey baster and see if it IS an air bubble.

I poked it with a stick.....LOL It is stuck there good so its not an air bubble. It had a bit of algae growing on its smooth surface but by gently moving the water in front of it all the algae came off of it.
Hey at least it nice and shiny to look at. I will try to get a pic of it if I can

Poked it with a stick!! OMG that's to funny, that's one of my favorite things to say...
Anyway, my next guess is to agree with Shrimpi. Maybe the pic wasn't what your looked like, but this is the same stuff below...

Thats it......you found it.....I guess it is algae then. I only have 1 spot of it though.
Now....should I leave it or pick it off of the rock???
It looks kinda cool.
No one seems to want to eat it. The hermits just go around it and the choc chip starfish, the sea cucumber and the emerald crabs havent found it yet (whether they will eat it or not I have no clue) The turbos dont seem interested either.

Emerald crabs are usually introduced to keep it under control. It is said to be a nuisance algae, however, I don't really see the nuisance unless it clogs up your PH's or intakes. The rumor os, that if you pop the bubble trying to remove it, you release spores that will make the algae spread. If you can get it out in one piece or take the rock out of your tank, pop it, rinse it, then replace it. If neither is convenient, let it be...
If you have it, you have it. Not a real big deal.
And Shrimpi is saying...
"I TOLD you so!, I knew it all along!"
LOL
