i just put my pulsing xenia in the tank and my green brittle star kidnapped it, drug under the rock and i think he's eating it.

It is possible, some have been reported to do this. I suspect they can smell a stressed, weak or dying animal and take advantage of this. Most of our clean up crew will. It is a good indication that the xeniz may not have been healthy, or that you acclimation was rushed.
How often do you feed the brittle?
I would grab the xenia and protect it however you can...in all likelihood the brittle is eating it.

I have two green brittles for about 8 yrs! I feed them several times a week, one cube of algea and a cube of krill, shrimp, etc. I notice fish disappear, but my guess is that the fish doesnt last long it has died. I have xenia, and mine don't seem to touch it. I you feed them regularly, they respond quite well, and are not shy at all! Steve
