What do Gulf Shrimp eat beside us eating them lol

I have harvested some rock while diving in the Gulf. Well this was about three months ago. Today I noticed a shrimp in my sump he has been eating or he would not be growing. The question is What is he eating?

they eat whatever they get their claws on. leftovers from someone else's meal, the occasional small animal they catch themselves, algae of different kinds. "cockroaches of the sea" is a little of a misnomer, but honestly....not by much.
