i might be getting a 12g nano for christmas and i was wondering what i need im getting the buffer and live sand and also how long do i need too wait too put corals in?PLEASE HELP

well you must first cycle your tank which can take anywhere from 4 - 6 weeks, it could take longer or shorter. your cycle will start when your ammonia reading spikes, then falls to zero, your nitrites spike, and then fall too zero. as for putting corals in the tank must people recommend to wait for at least 6 months to place corals into a tank to make sure all readings are stable.
