what do i need to start culturing pods in a 10g?

:help: I have an empty 10G sitting in my basement. I want to culture pods in it. It won't be attatched to my big tank. What do i need?
i know i need:

sand(2")
lr
starter culture
What else?

Do i need filtration? Heating? water movement? Aeration?
Please let me know everything i might need.

what size is your big tank? and is it sw?

55gal...i would culture pods in a seperate 20gal or maybe two 10's...yeah...its saltwater

why not just make a refugium with the 20 gallon.Its the best filtration this hobby has to offer because its NATURAL.

i would...and i had thought of that...but i don't have room near my tank to put it...i also am baffled by the designs people have and how to constuct them

what about under the tank, if not on get a tank stand and put it next the display tank.
