Welcome to all!!! I have been a daily visitor to this great site on a daily basis for about a year now. I really enjoy the site and have learned alot through reading many of the posts. I want to know what people at this board consider the most interesting fish and corals? Also most Expensive? Any photos would be great? I got this idea after viewing the pinhead post.... wierd....... Thank you God bless America :D

I'm rather partial to all my fish........coral beauty/juv. red coris wrasse/tomato clown/manderian dragonette(these are in my reef)....yellow tang/pygmy angel/6-line wrasse/pair of percula clowns(these are in my fowlr/ls).....as for my favorite/most interesting.....well I gotta say the manderian tops the list.....most expensive has never crossed my mind..........for corals most interesting for me is a colony of yellow polyps that started as a single polyp and now is rather large and multiplying rapidly(best part is it was free.....just showed up one day)

Those are all great fish, but I most agree with you that the Coral Beauty is just awesome.... I also love flame's. I ask this question due to the fact that i had never heard of a fish like the pinhead??? I love the idea of learning new species of fish and corals.

I think the most interesting fish is the queen triggerfish. They are so pretty, and act so funny. But, I think my fish are better. :D

The favorite in my tank would be the Naso tang because of his outstanding personality. My favorite in general, kinda hard to say but I do really like the queen and emperor angels. Price wise I have a hard time thinking I would ever shell out $300. for a small black tang.

300$ is nothing.... Adult emperor angels at about 16 inches can cost 1,000$ and some of the other RARE angels can be more than 2,000. As far as the most interesting fish. Angelfish have to be the best. With their intelligence and beauty nothing comes close. TJ

I know that there are many more expensive fish out there. My point was that I personally see nothing special or attractive about a black tang. Especially not with a $300. price tag on it. At least give me some nice markings such as the emperor or other angels for the money.

clown, queen, undulate triggers. hawaiian dragon moray. harlequin tusks. and sharks are my favorite most interesting fish.
my love for them is priceless...
depending on the lfs they can be expensive.
only if you knew how much these lfs get them for....and how much people are willing to pay.

I would have to say in the angel family my favorite would have to be my male scribbled angel. I also love my dragonet.

Well I would have to say that my favorite fish are as follows and in order:
1 Blue Hippo Tang. In my reef he just looks awesome
2 Stars and Stripes puffer, picked this guy up yesterday and has already grown on me quite a bit
3 Adult Emporer Angel, one of the coolest fish ever
4 Queen Angel, unfortunately mine died for some unknown reason, but she was beautiful.
Notice all the ones I like I have :) So I am a little biased.
Here are some pics.
Emporer:

Queen Angel:

No pics of my stars and stripes yet, but coming soon. I too have a coral beauty and for the money they are absolutely awesome.

I too like angels, but my favorite fish is a red corris wrasse. We have trouble finding hardy specimens, but they are brillantly colored and have a great personality.
My favorite corals are my giant cup mushroom and modern coral. They both feed and change their shape several times a day.
My favorite invert, without a doubt, is my octopus. He has tremendous personality. I can rub my finger in a circular motion on the front of the glass and he will reach out with a tentacle and rub the glass with me. It is like we are shaking hands. I will try to feed him something other than shrimp occasionally and if he doesn't like it he will come out and charge up the glass halfway and spit it out right at me, like he saying "Get this s&%# out of here!" He even likes to touch my hand when I feed him or if I'm reaching in to clean out empty shrimp shells. They are amazing creatures.

I would have to say my snowflake, is the most active eel I have ever seen always out swimming all over the tank. Everyone that comes to my house loves to see him eat. Good Luck
