What do you dose to raise calcium?

What do you dose to raise calcium that is around the house? I have heard of something like lime water? My calcium level dropped to 320 and I will not be able to get to the store today. It has been like this for awhile and I ignored it saying I would go buy more dose supplement when I got to the store. I didn't.
The real problem is that my Ric. is all flat and deflated. It looks like this at night but never during the day. Please help. Thanks!

First off, make sure your other levels are in check before you dose anything. Second, raising calcium levels can throw off other levels in the tank ...again be sure to test. Third...do not raise it to quickly..Disclaimer done. Now,if you happen to have any High Purity Anhydrous Calcium Chloride Pellets laying around...you are good to go.

My other levels are all in check. And second I know when adding calcium it can change other levels. And third I know not to raise to quickly. I don't know why you posted that though?? You didn't even answer my question. Anyone know if limewater works? Now I am not going to use anything. I am going to wait it out till tomorrow. The only reason I think it is low is because I haven't been doing water changes. That is because I am in the process of getting new Membranes for my RO/DI filter.

I actually did answer your question, some people..including myself use High Purity Anhydrous Calcium Chloride Pellets to raise calcium levels. I have heard this is fairly easy to find in the northern areas that get snowfall. Apparently it is used to melt snow from your sidewalk and driveway. However...I live in Florida so I order mine on-line. You can also use MS Wages pickling lime...available at your local supermarket,to mix your own limewater..aka kalkwasser. In my first post I stated all those dos and donts because I have no idea how much experience in the hobby you have, and was trying to make sure you didnt make a mistake. Good luck

Thank you. I am going to pick something up today at the local saltwater reef store.

I use Mrs Wages Pickling Lime... found at the grocery store for about 3 bucks... I use about a tsp per gallon of top off water.... now my topoff water is dripped throughout the day which is the safe way to do it but raises calcium nicely and being dripped my pH stays about 8.4-8.5
Brought my calcium up from 280 - 420 (didn't check for awhile was just using 2 part and my 3 clams really sucked it out).

I just dosed my top off water with PH buffer, alk and calcium. Everything was low. Has been low since I started using the auto top off. I hope I didn't over do it... dosing for everything. I put the right amount in for my tank size.

I was putting in the "right" amount of 2 part for my tank and stopped doing the pickling lime... and that's where I screwed up.
Recommended amounts are no where near my actual usage amounts... I would need something like 100-120 ml of part A per day.. I was dosing 15ml.
The pickling lime keeps all my levels where I want them and is cheap and easy to use. I tried to go away from it... but I found it's the easiest and works best for me :)

You kind of lost me. I am not real good with numbers. Just tell me your opinion...is it okay for me to dose my top off, with all three needed eliments ...cal, alk, and PH buffer...the tub holds a certian amount of water which eventualy will end up in my tank.
My top off is pure RO and my numbers have been low since I started using the auto top off unit.

I wouldn't dose your topoff with stuff like that... hard to say how concentrated it becomes after awhile.
My kalk drip (limewater) is mixed about 1 tsp per gallon (rough estimate) and I have a small power head keeping it mixed. However... it's a very good idea to clean the bucket (I use empty 5 gallon salt buckets) completely clean the bucket as calcium residue and sludge can build up in the bucket.... and it's just good housekeeping. The kalk drip has been keeping my calcium at 420ppm and alk at 9.
