I checked my usual sites for info on Kole tangs, but info is limited at best. My LFS has started getting them in, and for some reason, they've sparked some interest. So, what do you know about them... hardy? size? diet? aggressive? etc...
TIA
For the most part they a one of the more hardier tangs and they also called lawnmower tangs to do their habit of keeping algae under control. All tangs may show aggresion but it simply depends on the particular specimen. I once had one with a Powder Brown Tang and two Hippo Tangs and he was fine. The only thing I had to worry about was the Powder Brown go after the others in the tank. But beyond that, they're a great, hardy, relatively inexpensive fish that will add activity and some color to your tank. good luck.
My kole tang has such a great personality. He definatly keeps the algae under control. I just have a hard time keeping up with how much he poops!! Man, and I thought kids were bad. He just goes ape sh** over seaweed selects. Good luck. COOP.
