Well let me tell you my plan.:joy:
I'm going to setup a
70+ gallon SPS clam tank

I'm thinking of getting a tank with
the two large sides angeled 25%
for veiwing the clams.
It will be veiwable from three sides,
with the overflow at the end.
with 60+ lbs. LR, several clams and SPS
maybe two or three small fish ,
two or three other high light corals,
and lots of zoo's.
It will have dual 250 w MH with
2/65 w pc actinics,
2/65 w pc day lamps,
4-1w moon lights.
A 55 gl. sump 15lbs. LR/refugium ,
mag 18 pump@ 4' ,
aqua c remora skimmer/maxi 1200,
will upgrade skimmer as bio-load increases.
HOB filter on sump for carbon( when needed),
Return will be ran to the opposite end of the tank
Plus 3 reo seio 820's
for more flow.
Was also thinking of a calc reactor
but will supplement till I need it.
I'm thinking about building an
external overflow, and drilling slots at
the end of the tank.
with 2-1" inner bulkheads
(I hate the idea of waisting inner
tank space with overflows)
Still deciding on exact size,
What do you think would be best
for this setup.
Hope to setup in the middle of march.
Will use water & sand from my
55 to start it, most of the live rock,
and cleanup crew.
All other inhabitants will be reduced to a
30 gallon or be traded.
Plan to build stand, and canopy in early march.
Well I think thats it.
Let me know if I forgot something. (wich I'm sure I did :D )
What do you think ? :notsure:
