What do you guys use to raise calcium? My calcium ius acceptable at 380 but i ould like it higher. What can i use that does not change ph or any other levels??
i am getting ready to try kent marine liquid reactor......we will see how it works. it is supposed to supply everything to keep it all balanced, calcium, magnesium, strontium and carbonates. I am pretty excited. Kalkwasser is a pita to use and it doesn't reaise it very well IMHO and E.....
Try purple up. Read the lable, I think it is what you would like. It is designed to help coraline grow.
Just make sure you have the right readings on your calcium levels. Once you are sure calciums low, go for it.

basically all your looking for is calcium chloride. Kent turbo calcium, seachem reef plus, the part 2 of nearly all the 2 parts, name your brand is usually calcium chloride based. I use reef complete because a) its one of the most concentrated/least watered down of them all (just plug them in with a reef calculator http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chemcalc.html or check the specs on those that list them and b) it also has mag and strontium in the correct proportion of uptake which means if your salt isn't deficient using this takes care of calcium,mg and sr.
purple up and liquid reactor are bogus. straight from caribsea's FAQ
What’s the difference between Buffer Plus™ and Purple-Up™?
Both of these products contain the same main core ingredient: Aragonite™ powder dissolved in water. Aragonite™ contains Calcium and Carbonate in balanced proportion and is also a good source of Strontium, Magnesium and other minor trace elements
thats right finely grounded sand water
