Hey guys. I think im about to go get one of my first fish for my tank. Right now i just have a yellow tailed damsel, 20LBS of LR, and 40LBS of LS. I dont think my lights are strong enough for an anemone and ive heard they are impossible to care for. What should i get for my clown, anything??? Thanks

well if ur lights aren't strong enough for an anemone, some clowns will take up with some corals, not sure which kind though:notsure:

I had a maroon clown for 4 years in a FOWLR. I was told an anemone wasn't necessary. I now have 2 ocellaris clowns that were tank bred and again I don't have anenomes.

If you are going to buy a clown, buy a pair instead. You will be happier in the long run, and it is easier to add them both at once instead of adding one now and one later.

I have two perculas, I added them both at the same time and they barley leave each other side. They shouldn't need anything special, mine don't even go in my rock work they just like to swim out in the open. Good luck!!
