:help: ok so I did have this lion fish for a month now and he is still alive but starting to get a little skinny, I have given it different things to entice him, I never seen him eat but he has been alive for a month, I am not sure if he is eating off the bottom or it is my other two. So what excites the lion fish?
I didn't think they were bottom feeders. So what should I Feed?
:notsure:
thanks

Your probably going to have to start out with live food. Ghost shrimp would be the best. Make sure you watch the him eat it. Keep feeding him that for a couple days then try putting a silverside or krill on the end of a feeding stick, or hard tubing and make it look alive in front of him. Keep trying this until he starts to eat from the stick. Then he will start to eat anything he can fit in his mouth.

I'm a bit concerned that the lion is not eating. Is it acting normal in other ways. Does it spread its' pectoral fins and swim normally. What type of behavior does it show. First and foremost, offer it ghost shrimp. Lions should go after live food right away and ghost shrimp are the best live food to offer. Do NOT offer feeder goldfish or guppies!!! We've got to get this guy to eat!!! What are your water parameters?
