What Does ICK Look Like on the Glass?

I am having recurring problems with ick and read an article that states you may be able to see it on your tank during the cycle.
I have little white curly cues on my glass - are these the ick in it's growth state and if so can I just scrub them off to break the seal?

WHAT I HAD ON MY TANK AFTER IT WAS CLEANED PROFFESIONALLY SEEMED LIKE WHAT YOU DISCRIBED, BUT THEY WERE BUBBLES FROM THE SEA WATER BEING ADDED, MY GUY USES SEA WATER, IT LOOKS GREAT AND THE FISH LOVE IT... DO YOU HAVE FISH THAT HAVE ICH NOW??? YOU CAN LOOK AT THE FISH IF THEY HAVE "SALT LIKE" STUFF IT IS ICH AND YOU MUST TREAT YOU TANK WITH "COPPER SAFE" IT WORKED FOR ME IN ONLY ONE TREATMENT...DONNOT DO IT AGAIN UNTILL 30 DAYS LATER... IF YOU NEED TO..ALSO, TRY PUTTING IN SOME "PROTEC" IT KEEPS ALL FISH FROM GETTING ICH SINCE IT KEEPS THEM MORE SLIMY...READ DIRECTIONS FIRST!! GOOD LUCH, PATTIE
