What does Long Tentacle Plate Coral excretement look like?

My LTP coral looks pretty good. But he is not as expanded as he normally is and this is this white looking gunk caught in the rocks beside him. The white stuff almost looks like thick pieces of spider web. it is close to 6 inches long. Anyone know if this is just waste or is he sick?

Hmmmmm....sort of long threads of brown snot.......lots of times folks get scared that their plate is expelling its innards.
Why?

Well whatever the stuff he expelled was, it was white and not brown. I really thought he was expelling his inards! He even deflated his tentatcles when the stuff was coming out and looked kinda bad. But now he looks all happy again so i guess he really did just have to go poo-poo.
Anyone know how often LTP corals expell waste like this?
