what does "show" mean

what does "show" mean. like when people say blah blah on my sow tank. is this just not a reef ready tank?

Golfish is right. "Show tanks" are the same length as any other tank, but instead of being deep, they are a bit higher, thus showing off more space when standing in front of it. In a nutshell, taller than a standard aquarium.
 
I have an Oceanic 105 gallon "show" tank. It is 4' long, 18" deep and 30" tall. You have to take your shirt off to pick up anything on the bottom.
My husband liked it. He must have really liked it because we just bought another one, this time an O'dell with the same dimensions. Could be the fact we got them for a song from people selling to get out of the hobby though.

Yes, their are certain dimension tanks that are sold as show tanks, but I think often when people are talking about something in their "show" tank or "display" tank, they mean as opposed to their quarantine tank or breeder tank. The show tank is the one that you show off.
