what eats old food and other waste..

is there a creature that does so? I have some old food at the bottom of my tank and im sure its going to start making quite the mess.. i was wondering if there was a creature that took care of that? Otherwise how do i get rid of it?

how much flow do you have in your tank. With enough flow you shouldnt have food settling too long on the bottom.
Snails and Hermits should eat what they can find but your flow should push it around enough to be sucked up into your filter system. Also, look into howmuch you are feeding. There shouldnt be any left over food after a feeding

stars are also an option I have a brittle and it's a good detris / food cleaner but they dont eat algae
