Well...what do most people have in their reef tank??....small fish, inverts, etc.
Then, IMHO, no eel is safe in a reef.
Snowflakes eat inverts (crabs, shrimp, etc.) and will also eat small fish, if given the chance.
Zebra also get too big for a 75gal. and will also eat inverts.
Goldentails will eat inverts and small fish.
Pretty much every other available Moray species will either also eat inverts, or they're fish eaters.
You either want a reef tank, with no "regular reef inhabitants", which really isnt feasible, or you want a FOWLR tank.
