What eel will not escape an aquarium?

My 55 is open in the back due to the protein skimmer and power filter I run on the weekends. What eel can I possibly own?

I closed in the back of our canopy with a heavy screen, i think it is used for gutters. it hold up great and lets air through.

lol, but seriously, if you have a large tank he will not escape suposedly.... it has happened though. But a 55 is not too large for how big these eels get. What do you have for a top now? Id recoment getting like an eggcrate top. That way you can allow gas exchange, light to get through, and alsoyou can cut it accordingly around yoru filter and skimmer so that there would be no space for the eel to check out.

I would try eggcrate. Make sure that there are no spaces bigger than the eels head or else it may escape. They are notorious for this. Make sure you have it secured down tight as well as an eel may just push it up and try to get out.
