What exactly is "aged" water.....

....I've heard this mentioned on the forum many times. I did a search, but none really explained what it was.
Is it aged 48 hours or 2 weeks or 2 months? What are the benefits of aging your water?
Currently I mix & areate 24-48 hours prior to changing water. Is this sufficiently aged?
Thanks!!!

Aged water in what context? I must be reading the wrong posts, I haven't really seen mention of aged water!

If you mean how long you should wait before adding newly mixed saltwater... 24 hours is good.

most people are talking about waiting at least 24hrs to "age" the saltwater before you do a water change.
