What fish do you have in your reef?

I only have a yellow tang in my tank fishwise right now. I just don't know what I want. The tank is a 72 bow front. I'm looking for hardy, ich resistant fish that are reef safe. Anyone got any idea's?

Clowns, chromis, and gobies are good for that, they're pretty hardy and are all reef safe. Of course, no fish is really "ich resistant", but these ones aren't ich magnets like some others.
I have 2 clowns, a royal gramma, a neon goby, blue hippo tang, and a blue/green chromis currently, though I've got a big stocklist of what's going to be added....
yellow tang, mimic tang, some sort of fairy wrasse, 3 anthias, and eventually (after the tank and fuge are mature) a mandarin.

Oh, and I'm actually going to give you a warning about that yellow tang..... the tank is too small for that type of fish, they really need something 90+ gallon, otherwise it'll get aggressive. And since it's the first fish, it'll be even more aggressive because it'll be territorial.

Here's my recommended list:
Dwarf Angel (I love my Coral Beauty), but you may run the risk of some nipping at corals...
Some sort of Hawkfish - I have a scarlet
Blenny - I have a lawnmower who is so cool
Green Chromis
Clown Fish - I love gold stripe maroons
Wrasse - the flashers are nice
Bangaii or pajama cardinals

I did have other fish in the tank with the tang, and he never bothered them that I saw. They seem to pass of natural causes. He does also seem happy and healthy in the tank. He is about 3.5 inches. What do you recommend I do with him if he is too big for the tank but happy?

Take him back to the lfs...he will prove to be a major problem for you in that size tank later on.
Current stock list:
3 Blue/Green Chromis
2 misbar Maroon Clowns
1 Bangai Cardinal
1 Sixline Wrasse
Should note...have lost 1 yellow tang 2 blue hippo tangs (all ick magnets). IMO, tangs should be the last to add to any tank, and should be added to only to 100+ gal tanks, and should be added as juveniles.

Natural causes that could include being too heavily stressed by an aggressive fish.

Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasn't happening.
