what gives?

so how come i see the panther grouper listed as a fish that gets like 20'' and also listed as a fish reaching 5''? im very confused. is there more than one type? mine is maybe 3'' and has brilliant spots against a white body. living in my 100gal, i was told would live well with 2 or 3 others predators in the fowlr. right now i have a 3 stripe damsel and a goby, i was looking at the rabbitface and a humu to be added.

its going to get closer to the 20" mark, wouldnt trust the site that had them getting only 5".
now that I think about it that could have been the size that they have in stock

this is what the fish looks like my lfs assured me i would be good, maxing size would be 8-10'', i talked a good deal with him about the fish before we bought it, he assured me my ideas were good ones, should i be irritated?
