What goes together

I love the triggers but what could be put in the tank with them, I would hate to set up a huge tank just to have 2 or 3 fish. Or is that just the way it is with these guys?

I have a 90 I will set up in the future, but find it sort of a waste to fill it with LR, a DSB and then throw in fish that will eat all the cool critters you'd want to keep in the rocks. I would like a Volitian, and a Trigger, but can't rationalize a big setup for just those 2 fish.

Then maybe the hobby isn't right for you. Volitans and some triggers don't make the best of tankmates anyhow. Bo

I wouldn't say that style of tank isn't for me, I was just wondering what else would be able to go into a tank with a trigger, puffer or Lion.
Would it be set up as a regular reef with the DSB and LR, please post a few pics to some of your agressive tanks.

I understand your concern, but that is one of the things about this hobby. You really can't have it all in "one" tank.
If you like a particular kind of animal whether fish or invert you have to decide what kind of home you're going to create for them. That's why many of us have separate tanks to feed our need to enjoy different animals.
The question you pose is a good one and I'm sure as you research the different animals you like and who and what they are compatible with, you'll reach a personal compromise on what you want in your 90.
By the way, even though research may say, this goes with that or doesn't, the animals don't always know what the research says and they do their own thing anyway.
Good Luck and let us know what you decide.
