I think the elementary schools are focusing more on databases and spreadsheets and less on abc's. They stopped teaching any American history dating before reconstruction. Sorry bout the vent.

well from what ive noticed they kinda stopped between the american revolution and reconstruction, i mean we got a little tiny bit of of lewis and clark but not much

heck, when i was in school we didn't get much past world war 2, i think we blew through JFK and Nixon in a week.
I do though miss a lot of the smileys wonder who made that decision.
