i have a 200w and a 100w in my 90 gallon. (the 100w in the sump). so you'll probably want more than that.
the jagers this website sell are insane accurate btw, but of course they are out of them.... a 200w is a tad long though, so just be careful. how tall is the tank?

You really want to put more than one to as a reduntant safety set one degree or so below the other one so if one goes out your tank will still have heat.
I had 3 in my tank to keep the water consistant throughout the tank 2 in the ST and 1 in the sump fuge.

I have used the ebo jager heaters for a long time but I think I read where there quality went down so you may want to research on it. mine are probable 15 years old now and still going.

my ebo jager is about a year old, and i only have to set it at about 81 to keep the tank at 80, so it's a tad off, but i guess as long as the water stays constant that's the important thing.
i didn't like putting mine IN the overflow, it couldn't keep up with the temperature drop. i do have a 100w in the sump. you could put as many as needed in there, just make sure you either get submersible ones or they stay above the flood line in the sump.

I would say $30-50 for a good heater.
you can leave it there for awhile but I wouldnt leave it there permantly just to much flow going through and it will eventually burn itself out trying to keep up.

thats a good point but where else to put it besides in the sump I rather have nothing in the backround except in the corner overflow area so the tank looks nicer.
can a 200w heater go in the sump ? whats a good company that makes a good reliable heater that is not to tall under 24" to fit in the sump and that is submergable ? thanks guys
