What i did on monday

i was not at work on monday.
Instead, I took the day off with Hagit (my gf), My brother Jeff, and two other guys that knew my father (clients), and we took a ride down to Key Biscane, to commit my father's ashes to the Neptune Memorial Reef Project. It's basically an artificial reef 3 miles off shore , in 40 feet of water. It was designed to look like Atlantis might have looked, and hold the ashes of loved ones in various statues and pillars. if you want to learn more about it, visit www.Nmreef.com
It took awhile to get the permitting in place, then it was a matter of when we were ready to let go.
The seas were a little rough and the viz could have been a bit better, but i cleaned up the photos and made a little slide show remix with fitting music. I think it came out uplifting, but yet bittersweet at the same time.

for all of the pics (more, larger) you can check them here.

Very nice tribute. I especially like that there were some "angels" swimming in the area while you were committing him to the deep. RIP Dennis.

thanks again guys. i figure it will be cooler and cooler every time i go back as the artificial reef gets covered with corals and life explodes all around it. it has already been up for about a year and there was as you can see a lot of life there. we were surprised.
