i seem to keep reading that you should not keep more than 1 tang in a tank. and yet all the pics i see have several tangs.
eg: blue hippo and a yellow tang.
would i be right is saying you CAN keep more than 1 tang per tank?

I'd say only one tang. Most tangs and triggers need at least 125 gallons. I think it can be safe to say OK to add one more. Any thoughts folks ?

I have 14 tangs in my tank where they are mostly over 7". Many will say, you can't have more than 1 tang in the tank. If you have a lot of rock work, than you can have as many tang you want.
The Tang Police can't take me down
but, the they sent in the Tang Swat Team after me

I agree. I have lots of rockwork in my 72 gallon tank. I have 3 yellow tangs. They do fine. They graze all day and are not at all territorial. I tried keeping only one but he would either bully the other fish or be bullied. He lived about 3 months and then died.
Now that I have 3 of them all is at peace. They're not small either. I'm guessing about 5 inches in diameter and still growing. Arrest me too.

I have a yellow tang, a sailfin tang, a blue hippo, and a foxface, all in my 125, and they are doing fine. Don't worry, within a month and a half, they will go in the 350.

you also have a 560 gallon tank, so your not in many violations with all those tangs, they are probably pretty happy

Then tell them that... people tell me I shouldn't use crushed coral either but since I'm doing it... maybe you can. ***)
