This clear gelatinous object with red flecks in it made an appearance this morning in my tank! It sways with the current, but other than that it's stationary. My goby swam near it and hit it a couple times with his tail, and the blob neither recoiled nor swallowed my goby whole (thankfully!). If anyone can tell me what this might be, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks for the suggestion. I sent them an email with pics. Do they return answers via email, and how long does it usually take to receive an answer?

You're absolutely welcome. Good to hear. Yes they return your email with one of their own in reply and then later take your pictures and convo and post it on the website for others to learn from your situation. It's a wonderful place for information and aquatic help. They generally take anywhere from a few hours to a day. But rest assured, someone will answer. And if it proves to be highly interesting bob answers. Hope it works!!
