what in the world is this little slugy thingy?

I have about 5 of these little slugs in my tank and they normally only come out at night...last night i checked them munching merrilly at my algae but if they eat algae, they can also munch corals...What is it? and is it reef safe?

Looks like a Stomatella snail ... harmless algae grazer and good addition.

does it have a little shell or is just like a slug? I have two snails that look like it, very very small, that hitched hiked in on a rock, so I put them in the sump. If they are the same thing should I put them in my main tank?

It can appear shell-like, but I believe it's not actually a shell. I can't say what you have without a pic, but it's most likely Stomatellas. I'd be certain before you place them in the main tank though.
