What Invert cleans up animal waste and uneaten food

I have some small flakes laying on the bottom of my tank. (I think it is the reason I have some ammonia right now). Well, what kind of invert eats uneaten food and animal waste.
I have blue legs but do they do the job?
What about cleaner shrimp?
Please tell me I do not have to clean the small, tiny fractions of flake food off the bottom.

yes your blue legs will clean uneaten food but you will need alot, cleaner shrimp mean they will clean ich and parasites off fish not your uneaten food.I have a sea cucumber who does great picking thru rocks and bottom of tank, starfish will do a nice job to,i have a coc. chip and he does great but not reef safe ,snails(alot)will help but watch over feeding and your ammonia will go down. if u have any other Q. email me at pitbulljc@webtv.net

cleaner shrimp are scavengers, and willeat anything they can get their claws on, including parasites, and uneaten food,
but also, some nassarius snails are a big help with leftovers, if it is alot, you can try to scoop some out, using a unused plastic cup, even if you get a few grains of sand, it is better than leaving it there, rotting, then do a water change

shrimp and anything with a claw will scavange. Brittle/serpant stars nass snails will also. In a healthy reef theres pods thatwil scavange so you don't need to worry about leftover foods. If you have a dsb the worms /tube snails will feed also. The small BUG population is what makes a reef healthy . So they must be feed also. But don't grossly over feed either.
