What Is A Berlin-Style Reef Tank

Any pictures or descriptions would be greatly appreciated. I am wondering because the description of the skimmer I'm wanting to buy says, "is an excellent chioce for Berlin-style reef tanks".....thanks for any help you guys can give.

So I guess that this skimmer is well suited for the "heavy skimming" of the Berline method right? I just want to make sure that this skimmer is going to be an efficient way to skim my F/O tank. Check my signature for the details, and please let me know.

I run a Berlin style reef. I had read about them and could not believe they worked so I tried one for myself. It has been running 4 years now, and hosts purple tangs and acopora. The key is lots of live rock, the best protein skimmer you can afford, and carbon. It lacks any mechanical filtration. I am a big fan of Klaes skimmers, they are german made and they are all I run and sell.
