what is a good pump?

I have a 20 gallon DIY Sump with built in skimmer hooked to a 65 gallon tank. The pump I had on it quit and I was wondering what would be a good pump to use on this? Also, what would be the best powerheads for circulation in my tank?

Buy a mag 9.5 or a iwaki 20. Can't go wrong with iwaki.

Wow that mag 9.5 is huge, you might want to scale that back a little for a 65 gallon tank (sorry to step on toes). I have a 55 and use a mag 5, you might also look into mag 7 online these run $50.

well, mag 9.5 should be ok if you have lot of liverock to block some water current
I have 75 G tank and having Mag 9.5 running on the sump
well you should cut back it you have alot of live rock or just use Mag 9.5 and no power head or use a small power to counter current

you could cut back to the lower model if you don't have alot of live rock

I answered this same question a few days ago, but Mag 7 for return and Maxi-jets for circulation.

I got the mag 7 new off ---- for $45 and I also got a rio 2100 powerhead for like $30.00. What do you think about that?
