Incredible writeup, thanks Darth Tang. I feel I have to add my 2 cents on the author's view of Afghanistan though. I don't think the USA supported the Afghanis to help them win freedom as much as they did it to wear down the resolve and pocketbook of communist Russia.
God bless the USA and the poor victims of the flood!
