What is causing my clownfish to do this?

My larger clownfish keeps jumping at the top of my water, as if he's trying to eat something. He then swims down half an inch or so and shoots out air bubbles from his mouth. It pretty noisy when he does it, so I notice when ever I'm around and he tries.
He does almost every day, and has for the past few weeks or so..
Any ideas?

Lol ok. :)
He's perfectly colorful and a piggy eater

I've just heard that if a clownfish gets an air bubble stuck in its' gills it can kill it.. So I didn't know if it was ok.

I am not sure, but I do know fish shoot bubbles like crazy thru their gills when they eat.
