what is happening to my clam?

I bought a crocea clam about 2 wks ago, seems to be fine but color has changed from a bright blue to purple, is this norm?

What kind of lighting do you have? I would probably just move it closer to the lights. Usually when they start getting darker that means they aren't getting enough light.

What he said. Move it up closer to the lights. 4x54 watt T-5 isn't a lot.
