What is our Huma Huma doing ???

We just got our small ( 1 3/4" ) Huma Huma & about 2 days ago we noticed that he will get next to a rock or shell & he appears to be trying to scrub something off of himself, Does anyone know what he's doing, could he have parasites on him, We got him through the mail along with a dog faced puffer & starfish, Any help is appreciated Thanks John & Sherri

The rubbing on the rock, it most likely has ich. Beth has some good information on ich in some other threads.

More than likely it has ich . It could just be flashing for no reason but odds are if it keeps doing it then it has ich .

More than likely your not going to get rid of the ich with this stuff . I suggest stop dossing with it immediately . Your next step is to go to deises and ask BETH for help . The best way to rid your tank of ich is to treat it with HYPOSALINITY . Which involves slowly dropping the salt content of the tank to a very low level for an extended period of time . It is very VERY important to do this properly or you will loose your fish .
