What is PC Lighting??

Hey everyone, just a little confused what PC LIGHTING is.
What's this PC LIGHTING most make reference too??
Is it expensive?? Is it worth getting??

Stands for Power Compact. It is a type of flourescent lighting that packs alot of wattage/light into a small package.
The tubes look like neon lighting tubes and instead of having connections on both ends, they just have one connector.

So in order to take advantage of PC Lighting, you cant use your regualar Twin Tube Light Hood (just switch the tubes)??
Do you have to buy a totally different type of Hood that only takes PC Lights??

ya u do i have a britlight which is a pc light so far it has worked great but it can only support soft corals
